Providing the perfect internal & external shade solution

This particular customer reached out to us after having a set of bifold doors fitted in their study. While the bifolds are an impressive feature, their overall design (i.e. the fact they are mainly glass) means the study is flooded with sunshine. This means the room can sometimes get too hot on sunnier days. 

Our customer wanted to find a solution that would not only shade them from the sun, but also cover their patio area, which was due to be extended and refurbished. 

After spending time speaking to our customer about their requirements and fully understanding their needs, we recommended they invest in a motorised awning (3.3m long x 3m projection). As is the case with all of the awnings we fit, we added a wind sensor, which is designed to protect the system from being damaged in high winds, thanks to its automatic retraction functionality.

What’s more, the awning can easily be opened and closed at any point at the touch of a button, which is a standard feature that comes with all of the electronically-operated awning systems we install.

Finished in a stylish anthracite grey colour to match the bifold doors, as well as a vibrantly-coloured fabric that has enabled our customer to really put their personal stamp on things, the awning has blended right in. More importantly, it is providing our customer with internal and external shade and has fully optimised their brand new bifold doors, transforming them into even more of a focal point in the process.
